Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has achieved a perfect 100% score in the 2025 Global SWF Governance, Sustainability & Resilience (GSR) Index, placing it among only nine sovereign wealth funds worldwide to reach the top tier.
The ranking assesses 200 global state-owned investors across 25 indicators. PIF’s steady rise from 28% in 2020 to 96% in 2024, and now 100% in 2025, reflects major strides in governance, sustainability, and institutional resilience.
Among the top scorers, PIF was the only Middle Eastern fund, outperforming regional peers. The fund was praised for its transparency, climate-risk disclosures, sustainability reporting, and strong board oversight.
With over $925 billion in assets, PIF is a key driver of Vision 2030, focusing on high-impact sectors like AI, tourism, logistics, and renewable energy. The fund’s projects—ranging from green bonds to infrastructure—have made notable contributions to job creation, tech transfer, and sustainability.
The full report will be released on July 1.
