Saudi Arabia’s bond market is poised for expansion, reflecting significant growth opportunities in the Kingdom’s financial sector, according to Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih. Speaking at the UK-Saudi Sustainable Infrastructure Summit in London, Al-Falih highlighted the Kingdom’s rapid business growth and noted that the financial sector has not fully evolved, particularly in bond penetration and trading.
“There are significant growth opportunities available in Saudi Arabia,” Al-Falih stated, emphasizing the pivotal role of sustainable energy in the Kingdom’s future.
Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Khalid bin Bandar underscored the strengthening relationship between Riyadh and London, while Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a global leader in sustainable infrastructure. The Lord Mayor of London, Michael Mainelli, praised Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for its transformative economic and social projects, which aim to propel the Kingdom towards net-zero and broader climate goals.
