Saudi Arabia exported non-oil goods worth SR2.23 billion ($594 million) in May, marking a 19.25% increase from the previous month, according to the General Authority for Statistics. China ranked as the third-largest market for Saudi non-oil products, following the UAE and the US.
As the Kingdom diversifies its economy away from oil dependence, the report highlighted China’s significance as a key trading partner. Saudi Arabia also imported SR17.55 billion worth of goods from China in May, a 22% rise compared to April.
Strengthening non-oil exports to countries like China is crucial for Saudi Arabia’s economic vision, which is increasingly aligned with China, its largest trading partner in the Middle East since 2001.
