Nvidia’s CEO Backs Trump’s Tech Push as AI Deal Unveiled in Sweden 🤖🇺🇸

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praised U.S. President Donald Trump for policies aimed at strengthening American technology, as the chip giant announced a major AI partnership in Sweden.

During a speech in Norrköping, where he received an honorary doctorate from Linköping University, Huang said, “The President wants American technology companies to win.” He pointed to Trump’s recent rollback of export controls on AI chips — a reversal of a rule implemented under former President Joe Biden — as a key move.

“Four years ago, U.S. tech companies were very successful in China. We’ve now lost about 50% market share, while competitors grew,” Huang noted. “Trump wants companies like Nvidia to sell chips globally, boost U.S. revenue, and reinvest at home.”

New AI Alliance in Sweden

As part of this push, Nvidia is teaming up with Swedish heavyweights such as:

Ericsson (telecoms)

AstraZeneca (pharmaceuticals)

The collaboration will focus on deploying Nvidia’s latest AI data center platform to build next-generation AI infrastructure across Sweden.

The Sweden deal follows similar partnerships Nvidia has recently announced in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, aligning with a broader global strategy.

A Vote of Confidence in Trump’s Industrial Vision

Huang called Trump’s reindustrialization strategy “visionary”, especially around:

Manufacturing in the U.S.

Strengthening supply chains

Building resilience and diversity into tech production

“Securing supply chains and reshoring production is excellent,” Huang said.

However, economists remain divided. Critics argue that Trump’s tariffs may backfire — raising prices, disrupting supply chains, and possibly triggering recessionary risks both in the U.S. and globally.

Despite this, Huang’s endorsement signals growing support from the tech sector for policies aimed at economic nationalism, particularly when they open new markets for U.S. firms.
