Pepsi has recalled more than 300,000 bottles of Starbucks bottled coffee drinks, due to the discovery of “foreign bodies”, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.
The authority stated that the solid objects are “glass”, which was discovered in some packages of the Starbucks Vanilla Farappuccino product produced by PepsiCo. The classification of the case of danger to safety and health was of the second degree, which does not cause death or damage, but may lead to unexpected and unavoidable damage.
No cases affected by this error were reported, and the recall was for packages that were produced at the end of last month and whose expiration dates are March 8, May 29, June 4, and 10. PepsiCo told ABC that the cans were not sold at Starbucks stores and had been removed from shelves across the United States. She added that Starbucks is keen on the highest quality standards in its products, and that it gives customers “the utmost importance.”
