In line with market forecasts, the central bank of South Korea held interest rates steady on Thursday, capping a year of continuous rate increases.
In accordance with the unanimous decision of the 42 analysts surveyed by Reuters, the Monetary Policy Board of the Bank of Korea maintained its policy interest rate (KROCRT=ECI) at 3.50%.
Soon, Governor Rhee Chang-yong will conduct a press conference.
