Alibaba Pledges $53B to AI Infrastructure Over Three Years 🤖💰

Alibaba Group has announced plans to invest over 380 billion yuan ($53 billion) in AI infrastructure, including data centers, within the next three years. The e-commerce giant aims to strengthen its AI and cloud computing network, positioning itself as a key partner for AI-driven businesses.

CEO Eddie Wu recently declared Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) as Alibaba’s primary focus, marking a strategic shift. Despite challenges from U.S. sanctions and rising competition from Chinese AI startups like DeepSeek, Alibaba continues to expand its cloud business and AI capabilities.

The company’s shares have gained over $100 billion in 2025, signaling renewed investor confidence. Alibaba’s AI progress is further validated by Apple’s decision to integrate its AI technology into Chinese iPhones.
